My academic interests was focused on the knowledge of the oceanic characteristics that allowed development of the reefal organisms, how this characteristics have changed through the geological time, the dependence of the reef formation with the climatic variations and how the oceanic physicochemical characteristics affect the carbonates organisms and make it adapt to these changes. Analyzing the carbonates from the characteristics of their basin, oceanic physicochemical properties, ecosystem ecology, trophism and distribution of the organisms, united with the associated oceanographic processes who regulated the genesis of carbonates bring the possibility of obtain a broad characterization of the recent carbonated environments.
